~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana paled slightly... The tea room was full of breakable things. Including Hydrus' favorite set of china... But she was also determined to do a good job... That meant that she wasn't going to break anything, because she was going to help and do a good job.
She kept up her inner monologue all the way to the tea room, while also silently wondering what they would be doing in the tea room. It had just been cleaned yesterday. Surely it wasn't that much of a mess already. Though, that really depended on the twins...

hydrus stepped into the tea room and was already picking up random pieces of colored paper, twins He thought angrily, he tossed that away and then gathered together tea cups strewn on different tables and placed them in the miniature water basin. He sighed lightly and then looked around. "Ana carefully dust around the china sets in the cupboard please." He asked then walked out with the basin of dirty dishes.
He placed the basin in the kitchen sink and then snuck out the back kitchen door and stood out in the small garden area with the home-grown vegetables. The rain poured onto his head and soaked into his clothes as he looked up at the sky. He form changed, he became much slender and he began to shrink to the ground, his hands were covered in black green scales as his eyes change and thinned into black slits. Soon slithering among the potted plants was a snake. the snake went behind a certain plant and seemed to vanish, appearing behind the book case in the tea room, it eyed Ana its tongue flicking in the air. He was watching her intently interested to see what would happen and if she could do something responsibly with out flying into some kinda fit. .

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana was nervous... She was being asked to handle delicate china... Actually, she was being asked not to break all of the clean china... which was a lot.
She looked for the dusting rag and noticed it on the bookshelf. Something directed her attention to look down, and she saw a black and green snake. She jumped slightly, surprised to see the small reptile, then crouched down next to it. "What a cute little snake you are! I wonder how you got in... Did you come in to get out of the rain?" she asked it, petting it's head gently. She had never been afraid of snakes. This one looked more like a garter snake, which weren't poisonous, but they did have a painful bite. So long as it was calm, it wouldn't bite her. She coaxed the snake into her hands and picked it up gently, holding it behind it's head gently, so that she could control the head.
She walked down to the kitchen, intending on letting it out. She looked around, but Hydrus was no where to be found. Perhaps he had gone to the bathroom. She sighed, then let the snake go. "Bye bye, little snake. Be careful out there."

If a snake had the ablitly to roll its eyes, Hydrus would have done it, he was petted then picked off the ground, ana spent so much cooing over him he wondered if he appeared to be a kitten instead of a snake. she ended up taking him right back from where he came from and he was sat back down, she said bye to him, but he wasn't going to kick him out that fast. He slithered around and over the floor and up over her shoe. He went into the corner of the island counter and vanished again.
He reappeared from out behind the coffee machine, its shiny metallic surface enhancing his green scales color. He hissed his tongue flickering at Ana as his head weaved back and forth, I swear if she picks me up again He thought his snake eyes would have appeared irritated, but snakes didn't really show emotion after all. He wanted her to clean tea cups, not play with a snake, which happend to be him..

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana sighed. She had better not get in trouble for letting in the impertinent snake... "I suppose you can stay a while longer..." She said, picking the snake up again. This time, instead of heading outside, she allowed the snake onto her shoulder, hoping it would wrap itself around her. It was probably chilled from the rain, and would feel better after being warmed up.
"There, now behave yourself while I clean, and don't let Hydrus see you... I wonder where he went anyway..." she said, heading back to the tea room. He still hadn't show up yet... She hoped he was okay.

If it wasn't for the fact he was now around her shoulders, and he was a snake, he would have chuckled at her annoyance, then she put him around her shoulders. He still had all hsi human ability, but because of his body he could feel cold like a snake could, and he just realized how cold he really was, that rain wasn't nice warm summer rain like he liked it, it was slightly chilly, without really thinking about it he wrapped himself tighter around her neck and hissed at her when she said to behave.
He hissed again when she talked about himself. He did kinda disappear but he had planned to transform back, but now he was stuck on her, until she put him down, because there was no way he was crawling down her, he unlike Eewan, was not a pervert, and even if he was in snake form, he was still quite aware of Ana and he did not, and would not think of her like that. . .

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana hummed as she cleaned, careful of the delicate china. So far, she hadn't broken anything... which was sort of a record when she was in the tea room. Eventually, though, she got tired of humming, and started chatting to the snake absent mindedly. Everything from her horse (a white Arabian named Haku) to what her favorite thing to do was. Even her cookies were discussed ("But I can't tell you the recipe, that's a secret...")
All the while she was cleaning. So far, nothing had broken. There had been a few tender moments where she had bumped something, but she managed to catch the plate or cup in time, and continued, silent for a few moments after each time. She enjoyed the snake's company, glad to have someone to listen to her.
"I mean... Hydrus kinda listens. But I'm not sure if he's listening or just really good at pretending. It's nice to have someone just listen to all your worries, silly or not, and get them off your chest. Don't you agree?" she asked, smiling sweetly at the snake.

Hydrus listened with some interest, it wasn't that he didn't like to listen to Ana, it was that at some points he just liked quiet, mostly because he had never had that at home, and now sometimes when he had a chance to have it, it was suddenly ruined by the twins or someone else in the family. He did a have snake chuckle as she talked about him a bit more and then smiled at him. He slithered down her out stretched arm and onto the china cupboard, his body moved experatly around the china and behind a certain tea cup and for the third he vanished.
The real Hydrus reappeared through the door, he looked a bit soaked, and water from his forehead dropped in dripplets to the floor. He ran his fingers through his hair a few time. "Sorry I took so long Ana." He said then went up to her and ran a finger over some of the china she had been cleaning. "Who were you talking to anyway?" He asked looking down at her and smirking, trying to see how much she could have caught onto, probably nothing, no one but three people knew of the guides. There were two, himself and someone he had never met. Then a few real world dwellers an a local knew, but they weren't important. He had read a book that had said, some people are different then others, and ponce they step through the mirror one thing changes about them, it could be anything really. Hydrus was one of the people who was granted another form that could slip through rifts in the portals. . .

~[such a quaint little place...]~ "Bye bye," she whispered as the snake disappeared. She felt a little sad to be loosing a new friend and hoped she would be able to see the snake again. She continued cleaning, and was soon finished. Not soon after, she heard a voice behind her, and was startled to see Hydrus. She blush... How much had he heard?
"J-just a friend..." she stuttered. She was so embarrassed. It must have appeared she was talking to herself (something she did occasionally. She didn't particularly like silence. There wasn't anything wrong with it, it just wasn't her thing. But she tended not to talk when other were around) and she had been talking about Hydrus, who probably had overheard her.

"A friend?" Hydrus asked moving a teacup and brushing dust out of the way, he looked at Ana with a smile and then bend down looking at her "What kinda friend?" He asked teasing her, he took th rag she was using an tossed it over his shoulder. "Ready for that picnic?" He asked offering her a pigg back ride, he was in a much better mood sense being caught in the rain, he loved the rain. It was just comferting to him.. . .

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana blushed, but climbed onto his back. It was a short ride to his room, where she waited outside while he changed. It was still a little wet out, but a nice day, none the less.
She organized the basket, fussing with the blanket, while she waited. She was a little embarrassed about being over heard. She wonder how long he was there. And she had said so many embarrassing things too...
