*(I found myself in Wonderland)*
Hydrus was moving around furniture and chasing dust bunnies around his room without even breaking a sweat when he finally was done after moving a large standing mirror near a desk of his. His room wasn't huge nor did he want it huge. He had enough to clean up without it being his room, he was the official butler of the mansion, but he kept it from falling apart all the same. Cause god knows those damn twins couldn't go one day without burning down the house.
He looked around sighing, well he was done, he looked at the door and locked it smirking, he really didn't need his room messed up again, not now. He sat himself down on his bed and took the book he had left on his night stand and opened it. Things seemed quite normal as they had always been, even with his crazy adopted family, he had been living on the other side of the mirror for three years now, he was use to this whole crazy messed up idea that occured. Even the time the twins kidnapped him and stuck him in a dress was still kinda normal in this place.
However He hadn't stepped into a mirror or the other world for awhile, perhaps he should sometime, but for now he was perfectly alright with just reading, then again with the number of people falling through mirrors he may never get a days rest let alone an hour to himself.

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Before he had chance though, Ana showed up. She was dressed in a lovely pink outfit, a clear sign that she was about to go out for a picnic. In her hand was a wicker basket, filled with food and covered with a blanket.
"Hydrus, you work too hard," she muttered looking around the very organized room. Her own always had books and cloths scattered about. "You should get out every once and a while! I'm going down to the lake, so it's the perfect chance. You should accompany me. It's not proper to let a lady go by herself," She stated, looking hopeful. He may annoy her, but she still liked him. In fact, it was hard for her to name anybody she didn't like.

Hydrus sighed lowering his book as he looked at his 'little" sister as she barged in. "Excuse me but, I am trying to read Ana." He flipped his page and ignored her for a few moments then he looked back up "I wouldn't have to work hard if Eewan, the twins and you wouldn't mess everything up." He put the book on the night stand swinging his legs onto the floor.
He ran his fingers through his hair and shook his head. " Ana, go find Eewan or something, I simply was taking a break, I still have to clean the kitchen, water the plants, clean the tea roo... He stopped shaking his head he looked at Ana."How about...you go find one of the twins or something." he asked slowly frowning and then just standing up, his taller frame standing over her, he went over pulling out his regular wash cloth and threw it over his shoulder rubbing his hands together."I'll be done in a hour or two." He smiled, well it was a smile for him and began nudging her out the door.

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana braced herself against the door. She was not going to be pushed around. Even if he was the oldest, she wanted him to go with her on a picnic!
"I'm not that messy! Can't say anything about the twins, but at least I leave my stuff in my room! And I don't want to go with Eewan. He's always so rude to me! And the twins are already out."
She huffed, turning around and glaring at him. "You still have things to do? Fine, I'll help." she said defiantly, crossing her arms.

Hydrus sighed as Ana was not going to leave anytime soon. He might as well go on the picnic, then she'd shut up, but he had so much to do we need more servants he groaned inwardly and stepped back sighing as she complained. "Ana....." rolling his eyes he pulled the wash cloth of his shoulder
She said she would help and he cringed. "N-n-no, your not helping me." He said alarmed and then looked around looking for an excuse, he really didn't want her touching anything, she would probably make it explode. He scrambled to his desk and pulled out a glass canister of sweets. "I beg of you just take some candy and go play...with..damnit" He grumbled putting the candy jar down and took out a piece unwrapping it and tossing it in his mouth. "Fine you can help." He had to clean the house, so might as well make her happy some how.

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana smiled. She placed the basket nearby and looked up, expectantly. When Hydrus didn't say anything, she frowned.
"Well, you have to tell me what to do, silly..." she said, giggling. She was going to help! And this time, she promised to herself, she wasn't going to make a bigger mess! Yup, she was going to help and do a good job, then they were going to go together on a picnic. And later she might make cookies. After all, everyone loved her cookies.
Today was going to be interesting. That much was for sure.

Hydrus took a handful of candy and shoved it in his pocket he was going to hell today, YAY. He took Ana by the bow of her dress and dragged her to the kitchen, he sighed, she had been cooking recently. "Clean up your flour.." He ordered then starte running the water for dishes, popping a candy into his mouth. He watched her for awhile then went to work trying to belive she wasn't going to tear down the entire kitchen, which, he knew would happen then he'd have to tie her hand with her own dress bow and shove her in a closet.
He had always had problems with her , she had zero organization skills, and she seemed to lack common sense, but he loved her, like a pet fish mind you, anyway. though she wasn't exactly a fish, more like a kitten who needed trainining, though he really didn't want to be the trainer, he had better things to do..

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana nodded before skipping off. She went to supply closet to grab a mop and bucket. Mopping wasn't so hard. If fact, it was okay if you spilled some of the water, because the floor was supposed to get wet.
She got the mop and bucket, then looked at the cleaners. She wasn't sure what one she was supposed to use. She knew which one was for laundry, and which one was the dish soap... But what was the difference between the bottle of bathroom cleaner and the floor stuff?
She starred at the two bottles for a moment before just grabbing one. Cleaner was cleaner, right?
She poured a generous amount in the bottom of the bucket, then headed over to the second sink to get water. She hummed the entire time, happy that so far, so good.
Finally the bucket was full and she grabbed it out of the sink, turning the water off. She carried it to the far end of the room, near the outside entrance. She had learned from before that if you start on the entrance to the rest of the house, you would be trapped inside the kitchen until the floor dried. She wasn't eager to repeat that lesson.

He hummed lightly watching her still, he was nervous, but that died soon as he watched her, at least she knew how to mop, or well for the most part she did. He had finished half the dishes as he wiped his hands absentmindedly and then continued . He then stopped watching Ana mop. His eye brows furrowed, there was a smell, it smelled like bleach, not lemons, which was what he used for the kitchen floor, because bleach was harsh and could leak into the food smell and taste, the lemon was less pungent and left the kitchen smelling fresh.
"Ana please tell me you grabbed the kitchen cleaner." He asked quietly walking over and picking up the bucket and smelling it, he sighed deeply. "Tile cleaner...bath room clean, great." He sighed, she was going to destroy the nice wood flooring with this. He took the mop and emptied out the bucket and refilled it with water. "Grab the soap that smells like lemons please, then wipe up the water you put on the floor, the bath room cleaners going to rip up the flooring paint." He ordered frowning. He shook his head washing out the bucket, bleach stinging his nose.

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana's eyes widened in a comical fashion, and she covered her mouth. She quickly ran to the closet to grab the correct cleaner, trying not to cry. Even when mopping, she messed up. She had also made more work for Hydrus when she was just trying to help him...
She grabbed a few rags, and returned, still holding back tears. She quickly cleaned up the water, careful not to get any on her dress. She knew that Hydrus didn't like it when she cried though, so she held back. She was just going to have to try harder, that's all. She kept telling herself that, no longer humming.
She never noticed the few drops escaping her eyes...

Hydrus put the bucket down and put the cleaner in it sighing. He took the rags from Ana seeing that she was now upset and crying. "Ana is fine, you didn't know its fine, how about you go make me some cookies." He said softly, trying to figure out what to say, and trying to get her to stop crying. He took the mop and started on the floor shaking his head. I am going to need therapy one of these days He though moodily. His mopping was, quick and neat, it was more like he was dancing actually. He really needed a vacation, AWAY from the house, which was never going to happen .

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana chocked back her tears. She got out her cookie mix (She always had a batch ready, just throw in eggs and oil, mix, and bake) and got out the rest of the ingredients. She mixed in the egg and oil, adding some water as the mix seemed thick, until the batter was ready. She then scooped it out, placing each dough ball on the sheet evenly. Cooking and baking were apparently the only things she could do right, she thought miserably.
She placed the cookies in the preheated oven and waited for them to bake. It would be about 20 minutes before they were ready. She looked around, while cleaning her dishes... She still wanted to help.

He felt okay, they soon finished the dishes and he took out the cookies for Ana and soon he had plated them, neatly I might add. He then used a knife to a cut a few and then gave Ana a plate with horse shaped cookies. He stuck one in his mouth and sat on the counter with his cup of coffee, with two or three cubes of sugar in it. He yawned softly rubbing his eyes. He looked at her and smiled then sipped the hot sweet mixture in his cup intently. "I guess we will water plants..oh wait." Hydrus peeked outside, it was raining. "Nevermind, we'll clean the tea room instead." He mumbled his eyes shifted for a few secounds watching the rain, water spilling onto the ground, it looked so nice and wet outside, he frowned absentmindly and then shook his head snapping himself out of his train of thought. .

~[such a quaint little place...]~ Ana smiled at him. Yes, sometime he could be mean, and he always yelled when she messed up the kitchen, but Hydrus was really nice. He never really bullied her and he always made sure to cheer her up. Plus he always apologized... In his manly man way, anyway. He was a really good friend and Ana was glad he was her big brother.
She joined him, her soft alto joining his tenor. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad after all. The coffee was ready and the cookies were almost done. After this, perhaps she could help water the plants... after all, spilling water was a requirement.
